Red squirrels are one of the Lake District’s most treasured native species, but they face an ongoing threat from invasive grey squirrels and the deadly squirrelpox virus they can carry.

At Keswick Red Squirrel Group, our local volunteers work throughout Keswick and Borrowdale to monitor squirrel populations, provide food and feeders, track sightings and help protect our remaining red squirrels.
