Red squirrels are one of the United Kingdom’s most treasured native species, but they remain under threat from invasive grey squirrels and the squirrelpox virus they can carry.

Keswick Red Squirrel Group’s volunteers work across Keswick and the surrounding area, monitoring red and grey squirrel populations, responding to sightings and carrying out practical conservation work to help protect our remaining red squirrels.

Donations support practical conservation activities including squirrel food, feeders, monitoring cameras and other essential equipment. As a volunteer-led group, we rely on the generosity of people who care about protecting red squirrels and their habitat.
